Greg Gartland has predominantly focused on information services throughout his 25+ year track record of professional success. Most recently he has been Chief Product Officer and a member of the Operating Committee at S&P Global Market Intelligence, a $2.1B division of S&P Global. Formed from the combination of S&P Capital IQ and SNL Financial, the business is a market leader in data and analytics, providing essential intelligence for capital markets participants, corporations, professional services firms, regulators, and others globally. Greg has demonstrated success across multiple organizations, geographies, and business life-cycles over the course of his career. He has led global teams and delivered and executed on innovative growth strategies to drive sustained revenue and profitability growth across a variety of businesses from global, Fortune 100 organizations, to start-up ventures. Greg has been with S&P Global for the past six+ years, having joined S&P when it acquired SNL Financial, which he joined in 2005. Greg led SNL’s Financial Institutions and Real Estate business lines and before that was Managing Director and Principal of SNL’s client education group and operation. Prior to SNL, Greg helped launch a successful startup in the e-learning space and spent several years in management consulting. Greg started his career as a product manager at Greenwich Associates.
Greg serves on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He received a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and an undergraduate degree in finance from Villanova University.
